Navan has excellent resistance to PVY, Blackleg, and PCN Ro1 resulting in fewer out-grades than Maris Piper. Navan produces a vigorous haulm giving excellent ground cover and demonstrates good heat tolerance.

Navan is a high dry matter variety with better common scab resistance than Maris Piper. Navan has excellent all round cooking qualities and is popular for frying.
